Now we’re looking for a Director of Software and Data Engineering Solutions to help pioneer our next phase of growth. In this role, you’ll help expand the reach and impact of our Software & Data business units — from serving as chief architect in sales journeys to identify solutions to fit our prospects’ needs to leading best-in-class delivery teams to onboarding your own book of clients to expanding our portfolio of offerings and services, among other things.

This is a client-facing role for someone who has spent their career working at consultancies; most likely your roots came from software engineering and app development, but you’ve recently expanded your technical repertoire to include expertise in data, analytics, and AI. You’re comfortable sitting at the intersection of delivery, sales, and client and account management.

  • Within core accounts, ensure delivery excellence, expand relationship footprint, and play a direct role in growing revenue

  • Partner closely with our Data & Analytics, Sales, and Strategy leaders
  • Serve as a visible, trusted advisor to clients navigating complex modernization and transformation efforts

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Software & Data Engineering Solutions, you’ll play a pivotal role in growing and evolving our core practice areas. Chief responsibilities include:

  • Co-engineer bespoke data and software solutions for clients and prospects—from determining the right approaches to address their needs to estimating cost and duration to identifying the expertise and skill sets needed to deliver superior results
  • Partner end-to-end with Sales to accelerate the impact of our sales journey, including initial discovery, solution design, scoping, and proposal development
  • Grow the practice by leveraging your delivery track record and client relationships to bring past and current clients to SQA Group
  • Serve as the face of the engagement for milestone-based and project-based work, including assessments, roadmaps, report-outs, and executive presentations
  • Drive superior delivery outcomes, ensuring we consistently wow clients, deliver high-quality work, and leave a lasting impact
  • Support the vetting, onboarding, and leadership of consultants across data and software engagements
  • Act as a technical and thought leadership ambassador—speaking at events, contributing to points of view, supporting marketing assets, and expanding SQA Group’s market presence
  • Help refine sales and delivery assets (PPTs, SOWs, storyboards, frameworks) that articulate our differentiated approach and value
  • Maintain domain expertise by staying current on software engineering, data, analytics, and platform trends

Who You Are

  • 10+ years in software engineering, application development, process re-engineering, automation, data engineering, analytics, or related disciplines within a consulting or professional services environment
  • You’ve led complex client engagements involving modern software systems, data platforms, and analytics capabilities
  • You bring an existing book of business or strong client relationships aligned with SQA Group’s offerings
  • You are both hands-on and strategic—comfortable in architecture discussions while advising executives on transformation strategy
  • You understand systems end-to-end: from source systems to pipelines to analytics to governance and adoption
  • You excel at translating business challenges into clear technical and data action plans
  • You’re exceptional in pre-sales—able to listen deeply, spot opportunity, and inspire confidence
  • You have a strong instinct for assessing technical talent, both hard skills and human skills
