We’re eyeing our biggest growth year ahead, and we need a career solutions sales leader — who has spent their time in business, tech or management consultancy firms — to propel our Data & Advanced Analytics business unit forward. Some quick facts about this role:

  • This is a unique opportunity for an experienced sales leader who loves the entrepreneurial energy of being hands-on, is comfortable carrying an individual sales number and is still passionate about driving and winning new business development efforts
  • We’re looking for someone who believes the best sales leaders win their own deals first to establish credibility so that when they hire and coach their team, they are teaching from personal experience
  • Deep services and consultative sales experience are essentials; we do not sell products nor are we a SaaS provider
  • We’re relationship-first; our primary outbound channels for customer acquisition are in-person prospect meetings, events, networking, referrals (not passive email sequencing)

While you’ll be leading Sales for our Data & Advanced Analytics practice, you’ll be part of our larger tech services firm that has a proven reputation for helping companies achieve competitive advantage by fully embracing the power of data solutions, digital innovation, and software engineering. For 25 years, we’ve supported everyone from Fortune 100 firms to fledgling start-ups.

Reporting to our VP of Growth Strategy, and working in tight partnership with our VP of Data & Advanced Analytics Solutions, you’ll drive revenue attainment and growth for our business unit to position us for our next chapter of impact.

What You’ll Do

First 9-12 Months:

  • Personal Customer Acquisition: Carry and manage your personal sales quota, leveraging your book of business, past clients, and strong referral network to acquire net-new accounts that align to our data modernization, data science, predictive intelligence, AI adoption, and data strategy & management services
  • Repeatable Frameworks: As you win, stand up repeatable frameworks and sales plays that can be taught to your future Sales team; specific focus on partnering with our Solutions to identify approaches and strategies to expedite deal flow and pipeline creation
  • Brand Representation: As our most senior sales and business development leader for the practice, represent SQA Group at industry events, networking opportunities, and conferences to extend our reach and revenue potential. Core focus on establishing C-suite and VP relationships across IT, Data, Technology, Operations, Innovation, and business line unit leaders.
  • Opportunity Partnering: Join our Solutions team and existing Sales reps on opportunities they source, bringing your executive presence and solutions selling mindset to increase our pace and likelihood of close
  • Account Expansion: Land and expand deals you soul-source, as well as help expand select accounts won via other reps, leadership, and channels

Next Phase:

With your personal sales targets reached — and your Founders’ Sales approach codified — your role will evolve to also focus on leading a small team of reps who can continue to help us achieve revenue targets, as well as driving overall sales strategy for the practice. Together, we will shape focus during this phase but a few important components will include:

  • Work as a critical member of our leadership team in shaping our overarching business unit go-to-market strategy
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing, solutions selling team for the practice; always staying hands-on enough to be an effective Player/Coach
  • Design and implement a comprehensive Sales strategy that positions the business unit for continued growth, market differentiation, and competitive viability
  • Maintain your own consistent pipeline of opportunities, always believing that as leaders we can’t be above the work we ask our teams to do

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience in services sales and proven ability to carry your own quota, including leadership, management, and coaching of sales professionals
  • Existing book of business, deep contacts, and strong relationships that will expedite your ability to carry your own quota
  • Demonstrated ability to carry multi-million dollar services sales, and navigate the nuances of services sales
  • Structured sales training in Challenger, Miller-Heiman, GAP, MEDDIC or similar, and experience teaching and coaching a team of reps
  • Active on LinkedIn, regularly tapped for public speaking, and generally regarded as a thought leader
  • Motivated to see your team on the scoreboard and also model the way for them by staying on the scoreboard yourself
